Post-Degree Career Options

The Master's program provides an entry qualification for PhD programs, allowing graduates to continue with a PhD in public or private research institutions. The area of Bonn/Cologne has an internationally competitive business structure and hosts several leading companies and international organizations. Depending on the main profile, further opportunities are provided by research and development companies related to urban development, space agencies, software development, and more.

Costs of Living

Costs of living range between 600–1000 EUR per month, depending on the student's standard of living. The program has no tuition fees, except an administrative and student registration fee of 270 EUR per semester, which may vary from semester to semester. The fee includes a semester ticket covering public transport in the Koln/Bonn area.



Housing in student dormitories/apartments is available to a limited extent in Bonn for approximately 250–350 EUR per month.
Private accommodations are generally more expensive.
